Unit Test #3: Chemistry

Date of test: Feb. 10

To prepare for the test you should know the following:

  1. Calculation of the number of protons, neutrons, electrons, and mass number.
  2. Atomic symbols containing number of protons, mass number, charge.
  3. Bohr diagrams of atoms and ions.
  4. Bohr diagrams for covalently bonded molecules.
  5. Prediction of ion charges.
  6. Location and properties of metals, non-metals, semi-metals.
  7. Location and properties of Alkali metals, Alkaline Earth Metals, Halogens, Noble Gases.
  8. Periodic table reactivity trends.
  9. Ionc vs covalent bonds.
  10. Isotopes (what are they?).

NOTE: You will be given a black and white periodic table for the test containing element symbols, atomic numbers, and element names
