Unit Test #3: Chemistry
Date of test: Feb. 10
To prepare for the test you should know the following:
- Calculation of the number of protons, neutrons, electrons, and mass number.
- Atomic symbols containing number of protons, mass number, charge.
- Bohr diagrams of atoms and ions.
- Bohr diagrams for covalently bonded molecules.
- Prediction of ion charges.
- Location and properties of metals, non-metals, semi-metals.
- Location and properties of Alkali metals, Alkaline Earth Metals, Halogens,
Noble Gases.
- Periodic table reactivity trends.
- Ionc vs covalent bonds.
- Isotopes (what are they?).
NOTE: You will be given a black and white periodic table for the test containing
element symbols, atomic numbers, and element names
